Nassau County Traffic Court – 801 Axinn Avenue

The Nassau County Traffic Court is a 30,000-square-foot court building at 801 Axxin Avenue in Garden City, New York. The project was performed for the county on behalf of the building’s landlord. The existing department of motor vehicle build-out was demolished ahead of the reconstruction effort.
 

The build-out, which began construction in October 2021, of the local municipality’s traffic, parking, and violations agency included case hearing rooms, offices, new staff, and patron restrooms in addition to conference and break rooms for county employees. The entrance vestibule leads visitors to a brand-new 3,000-square-foot waiting room.
 

SavCon also completed the exterior scope, paving out to 90,000 square feet of the northeast, southeast and west parking lots. The aggressive schedule that SavCon put into place allowed for move-in activities just 18 weeks after demolition activities commenced.
